Burlington Parks, Recreation & Waterfront operates two public marinas in Burlington Harbor:

Burlington Community Boathouse Marina at the foot of College Street and Perkins Pier Marina at the foot of Maple Street. Our Marinas offer seasonal dockage, as well as transient dockage and moorings. Additionally, we have a floating restaurant, Splash, located on the floating dock of the Burlington Community Boathouse Marina.

If you are looking to stay a few nights in Burlington, the centrally located Burlington Community Boathouse Marina has over 45 transient slips available, with electricity and water at every slip. In addition, we also have 51 transient moorings located adjacent to the break wall in Burlington harbor. Boater restrooms with showers are offered on site. Pumpouts are available at our service dock daily and are free of charge to all boaters.  Free WiFi is available on our docks and parks surrounding the Boathouse. With downtown Burlington only a few blocks away and the marina right next to our famed boardwalk, your stay at our marina positions you in the very heart of all that Burlington offers.

For seasonal dockage, we have seasonal slips at both the Community Boathouse Marina and at Perkins Pier Marina. The Boathouse has over 60 seasonal slips, and Perkins Pier is a full seasonal marina with 84 slips and 23 moorings. Perkins Pier boasts easy access for parking and our greenway bike path. Restrooms are located onsite, and all Perkins boaters can utilize any service offered at the Boathouse.

History:

In 2013, the City's Public Investment Action Plan (PIAP) executed an open public process to select projects that would be eligible to receive public infrastructure improvements through the City's Waterfront Tax Increment Financing (TIF) District. One of the fifty proposals submitted came from the Burlington Harbor Marina. This project was subsequently selected as one of the PIAP projects, which the City would seek to support in plans to develop the Waterfront utilizing TIF. In March of 2014, City Council approved this Development Agreement after a series of discussions and negotiations.
