The City of Burlington offers 3 locations for employee use during business hours. We are invested in our employee’s health and welcome and encourage the use of our facilities.

Locations

Burlington Electric Department, 585 Pine Street

Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 8:00 am-4:00 pm only (out of the building by 4:30 pm)

Employees using the Fit Pit at the Burlington Electric Department must also comply with the City of Burlington COVID masking policy that is in place at the time of use.

Parks, Recreation & Waterfront, Code & Department of Public Works’ Fitness Room 2014, 645 Pine Street

City Hall Wellness Room, 149 Church Street

The fitness room is a huge asset for all the employees.  My experience has been very positive as I use the room to maintain my level of fitness so I am prepared for my bi-annual Army National Guard physical fitness test. The workout room has been a great asset to use on a daily basis.  It provides equipment for cardio and strength training.  We have been using the equipment for the past 5 years and it’s a wonderful alternative to joining a gym membership. We use a personal trainer once a week giving us proper techniques when using any equipment in the fitness room. Having the use of this facility has increased our stamina, mobility, balance, energy level and mental wellbeing.
