Covid 19

Update #95: Vaccine registration is open for Vermonters 75 and older!

January 25, 2021

Vermonters age 75 and older can now register for an appointment to receive the Covid-19 vaccine! These vaccines are FREE and they are clinically proven to be safe and effective.

There are two ways to register:

1) Online: http://healthvermont.gov/myvaccine

2) By phone at: 855-722-7878. Please note the call center will not be operational until 12 noon today.

Please consider how you can help elders in your family or community register for this vaccine. Translation over the phone will be available. The registration process will take some time but it is necessary.

Spots are very limited but more will become available over time. Currently, the federal government provides Vermont with 8,000 doses of the vaccine each week, but there are nearly 50,000 people age 75 or older in Vermont. With such limited vaccine supply, when you register, your appointment may be 3 or more weeks away. Remember, you must be 75 or older when you try to register starting on Monday, January 25. Those younger than 75 years old are not able to register yet.

The City has been assured that there will be locations in and around Burlington that are walkable. There will be language interpretation available at the different locations. Spots are limited at this time and people must register in advance -- no walk-ins will be accepted.

Questions? Contact the Burlington Resource and Recovery Center (RRC) at 802-755-7239 or recovery@burlingtonvt.gov, we will do our best to assist you M-F between 8am-4:30pm. Find more information about the vaccine on the City website: https://www.burlingtonvt.gov/covid-19/vaccine
