Beginning 9/23: Pine St Drop Off Center Expands to Include Recycling

Burlington Department of Public Works (DPW) and the Chittenden Solid Waste District (CSWD) have been working together to expand services and are pleased to announce that the Drop Off Center at 339 Pine Street will now be accepting residential recyclables.  

On Thursdays and Saturdays, from 8AM-3:30PM, food scraps and blue-bin recycling can be dropped off. This change is effective beginning Saturday September 23rd.  

Important things to keep in mind:
- Food scraps can be dropped off for $1 per five-gallon container. Limit 30 gallons.  
- Blue-bin Recycling can be dropped off for $2. Limit 1 cubic yard.  
- Trailers are not allowed.  
- Currently, this location only accepts cash and checks.  
- Please make sure all recycling is clean, dry and containers are empty.  
- Cardboard must be flattened.  
- Trash and other materials are not accepted at the Burlington location.
