Community policing can be described as the blend of problem-solving and partnerships to promote safer neighborhoods. In Burlington, we are very fortunate to have committed partners in the co-production of public safety services. Through these "partnerships with a purpose," we are able to mobilize resources to specifically target the safety concerns residents have.
Below are summaries and links (where available) for some of our partners:
Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF)
Center for Communities and Neighborhoods (CEDO)
Chittenden Unit for Special Investigations (CUSI)
Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
Law Enforcement Officers Memorial
National Association of Women Law Enforcement Executives (NAWLEE)
National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC)
Police Executive Research Forum (PERF)
The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP)
Transportation Security Administration (TSA)
